Accelerators

Web3 accelerators are generally centralized organizations that provide services and are backed by big VC funds. Launching a project in a centralized accelerator will allow founders to quickly access capital by selling off a large amount of their token supply to those VCs. These accelerators and their VC connections offer some help to projects in their early stages, but the large amounts of tokens in the hands of those VCs can be considered a significant risk in the long term.

Suprime combines the services of a launchpad and accelerator into one decentralized accelerator. We take seriously the Web3 vision of disintermediating the middleman and offer an alternative to forced collaborations with big VCs.

The main difference between raising money with an accelerator powered by VCs and an accelerator powered by our Swarm is the value offered by investors. In traditional, centralized accelerators, value from private investors and VCs is almost exclusively provided in monetary terms. VCs provide capital in return for a large number of stocks, they sit back and wait until they can take their profit and subtract more value than they ever generated.

At Suprime, capital is not provided by a small, select group of individuals who sit back after investing their capital. Capital is invested by a Swarm of Web3 investors incentivized to support and promote the project at every stage. Swarm investors provide value in more than just capital, we’ll expand on this later.
